Mr. Ny Lyheng of Baitang (Kampuchea) Plc. (a leading rice milling & exporting company based in Battambang province) took part in the Australian CAPRED’s 14-day Cambodian Agri-food Study Mission to Australia (New South Wales and Queensland) from 29th May to 09th June 2023.

The trip has turned out to be a fruitful business opportunity for promoting more Cambodian rice into the Australian market, through certain connections to various markets. It is of great benefits in leveraging market awareness, business linkages, connections and communication, which will bring about additional entrance for Cambodian rice.

Thanks to Cambodia Australia Partnership for Resilient Economic Development (CAP RED) for this arrangement and support. We shall further be working with our best, to embrace all opportunities accessible.

Mr. Oknha Phou Puy, our president, who is also a member of the National Assembly, has paid a visit to the farmers whose paddies were in poor condition (20%) and could not find a market for their paddies. Baitang has helped to purchase their paddies. Click on the link below to watch the event.

On the 29th November 2020, our president, Oknha Phou Puy, who is also a member of the National Assemby, has helped the farmers at Sneng Commune, Banon District, Battambang Province, in harvesting their paddies as those farmers had lack of harvesting equipment that could affect the paddies quality if they keep them longer and could consequently lead to losses in their earnings. It was also joined by members of UYFC of Banon and Tmor Koul Districts.

13th -15th March 2020, Baitang has participated via the Battambang Chamber of Commerce, to showcase Baitang Rice brand at the exhibition for the River Festival. The festival was attended by many Cambodia senior officials and our Prime Minister, Samdech Hun Sen.

Baitang received the top 1st rank among Cambodia’s rice exporter, to have exported the largest quantity of rice for the year 2019.

Baitang has a largest factory and production capacity in Battambang province, has started producing and exporting to the international market since 2012. It has now reached 34 countries around the world receiving strong support and trust from our partner customers.
